Sure Champ Question?

Post by piggersinbend » Fri May 15, 2015 11:14 am

Hi,
York/hamp cross barrow. Fair is 60+ days away so we have a good chunk of time. Heavily muscled, has been sick and gotten antibiotics, but still residual "lung issues" IMHO. Has lost appetite when sick and needs to catch up. Have never used Sure Champ… would adding this to feed benefit for weight gain and immune support? Any info about the product or any others would be great!!!
Feeding Show-Rite currently.
Thanks!

Worked great on our lambs last year ... Was feeding sure champ lambs was putting the feed away , our supplier didn't have it in, went a week with out it, after feeding it for a month there feed intake went down about 2/3 of what they was eating without the sure champ in the feed.

Trying it out this year on the pigs, first week of feeding it in the feed. Got the meal form had them mix it our ground feed

We also give our older show pigs if their off feed or the last month when we start pushing them a Dannon Activia yogurt. Really keeps them on feed and guts working good. We even bring it to the show.

Just some additional info:

High Octane Champion Drive contains TASCO to help with stress (heat stress and other forms), Octacosanol (like int oxygen products), and now Amaferm (ingredient in Sure Champ purported to promote intake).

Plus, Champion Drive promotes muscle.

KGB,

I have fed champion drive for the last 30-45 days many times. Can you feed it throughout the entire project like you do with sure champ or True Glo ? If so how much do you recommend feeding at the different stages ?

Thanks

based on a reccomendation from a very reputable feed dealer i have been feeding sure champ meal 2X daily on our cross boar since he was a little guy and can't believe the feed conversion it is amazing. of course some of that is his genetics.
