Hi all,
I wanted to contact everyone to see if anyone has any feeding advice for my pigs? They are both technically cross breeds but will qualify for a York and Hamp. They will go to auction - weigh-in is July 1. The minimum and maximum weights are 210-280. Both of them are on free feed Show-Rite 15% G for about 3 weeks now. Before that, they were on Show-Rite 17.5%. In addition to the free-feed, I was giving them a handful of the feed mixed with 4 oz. of milk replacer and 8 oz. of oats + water to make it slop once a day for about the past week. Before that, I was giving them a handful of feed with 4-6 oz. of oats, 2 eggs (raw), and 4 oz. of corn oil for about 3 weeks once a day (in addition to the free feed). I'm going to take them off of free-feed today and separate them into different pens. For feed, they will get 3 lb. of the 15%, 4 oz. of milk replacer, and 4 oz. of oats for each feeding (two times a day). For days when I can't go out twice a day, I will just give them 6 lb. of the feed, and 8 oz. of both the milk and oats all at once. I will also give my hamp 19% Show-Rite for the last 7-10 days instead of the 15%. They are being boarded about 45 min. away from my house, so I can't always monitor their food, etc. My Hampshire is going to barely make weight. My Yorkshire will probably be right in the middle, which is where I'd like to be (250) but her ADG's are all over the place. I will attach pictures of what they look like. Just wondering what supplements I should be adding? I attached a link to pictures of what they look like down below, plus their weights. Thank you so much for any feedback!

Re: Supplement Help
I would add something for lower flank fill like Purina Ultra Full. Muscle wise they look good and I think if you keep up with the milk replacer, maybe even up it a bit, you should see some nice cover/condition results. Mostly I would like to see that flank fill out and those bellies drop.

Re: Supplement Help
Thanks for the suggestion! Will the Purina Ultra Full help with the belly drop? Also, do you think I should add water to their feed to slop it?

Re: Supplement Help
Yes and yes. Ultra Full will drop the belly and fill in the flank. Wet or slop feeding helps promote consumption and is easier on the throat and esophagus.

Re: Supplement Help
So I may not be able to get my hands on the Purina Ultra Full for a few days to maybe a week. I've heard that the Purina Depth Charge works quickly - would it have basically the same effect as the Ultra Full? Thanks for your help!

Re: Supplement Help
No. Depth Charge helps with mid level fill (rib). Ultra Full helps with lower body third and flank (fuller and deeper flank). About from the sheath back.

Re: Supplement Help
Okay. I might only be able to get my hands on the Ultra Full until next Tuesday - does anyone think it will have any effect if fed for about 3 weeks?
