Breeding with one dose

What is everybody's opinion on breeding with one dose and when is the best time to breed with one dose. Was thinking about buying a little more expensive seman and trying

It is always possible. But there are a lot of factors involved in doing this correctly. Here is Ohio the weather has varied so much over the last two weeks, that it has made a few heat cycles off. Even with use of tech it is has not been perfect science this year. I did try to breed one Duroc with one dose. I won't know if she stuck until this weekend. (21 days)

Its a tricky situation. I don't think k I would try if I absolutely wanted the sow bred. That being said, last spring I entended to breed back one sow. I gave her one dose and she was OUT when I came back with the second. I reached over the fence and her pen mate was in. I dosed her. Ended up with 15 from the first and 10 from the second.
