Bred gilt ?

My son was given a bred gilt. What do I need to do as far as getting her ready for farrowing. She was wormed in January by the previous owner but nothing else. She is due Mar 17th. Is there anything I need to do as far as vacinations. She has had nothing. How about the babies when they are born? Thanks for help in advance. This is all new to us. I am beginning to think we are in over our head.

i just had the same questions. look at a few posts down under "farrowing and gestation meds." Litterguard combined with Parapleuro Shield are the meds i found that cover your gilt for pre farrowing vaccinations.

When the babies are 1 day old you need to give them each 1cc of iron,and I would suggest giving them half to 1cc of Tylan 50.
