Looking for a berk boar

Post by barrelracer73529 » Thu Feb 29, 2024 2:41 am

We are looking into breeding my sons gilt from this year to get his berk for his next time around (our county shows are normally mid-late February) Wanting taller and wide with easy movement registration is a set in stone requirement as our gilt is registered and our county show requires registrationon purebreds, she's wide set with good bone but on the short side. Fluid easy movement. She was res grand in our local and district shows and 4th in county. What boars would you suggest? This is not at all set in stone. If I cant find one that will compliment her shortcomings and assets, we will not breed as I know there are already alot of good pigs out there to choose from and this is only our 2nd year showing. I showed all through Jr high and high school so I'm not completely new but pigs have changed so much I do still have ALOT to learn.
