Traveling with a Mini Pot Belly Pig

Post by Boston Fran » Thu Jun 26, 2014 7:59 pm

Hello everyone,

This is the only site I could find relating to the actual care of pigs, without a breeder's site trying to sell me another pig. I adopted a 5 week old piglet last year, she's an indoor (mostly) pig and 1 year old now.

My question is: Can I give her something all natural to calm her down during travel? She travels in a dog crate but recently seemed to get car sick, etc. Also, afraid of the fireworks for the upcoming 4th of July, I'm afraid she'll literally, get "Scared to death".

Any advice for this new mommy piglet?

Thank you!

Valley Vet online (valleyvet.com) has a Show Pig Paste that has tryptophan in it. Mellows them out. They like the taste.
